Dave and Gloria McDowell have 5 adult children and 12 non-adult grandchildren. Their 50 yrs. of marriage and ministry have taught them much about life and about God. You would think that after all these years they would have it together and display a perfect marriage, but they continue (sigh) to be imperfect people who have learned to live by God’s grace and the support and prayers of family and friends, to remain committed to their marriage, usable to God, and (hopefully) helpful to others.
Dave graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College (IL), a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, a Masters in Sacred Theology from Union Theological Seminary (NYC), and a PhD. from Trinity College and Seminary (IN). Gloria received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Wheaton College and her Masters in Teaching English as a Second Language from Elms College (MA). She is also a gifted musician.
Pastor Dave has published a recent book, The Just Shall Live by Faith: An Expanded Outline of the Book of Romans. It can be purchased at Amazon.com. He has just published a second book, The Goodness of Affliction: Encouragement for Those Who Suffer, which also may be purchased from Amazon, as well as, Barnes and Noble, and Christian Book Distributers.
Pastor Dave has had pancreatic cancer for the last 4 yrs. and is now been placed in hospice. He writes a weekly blog that you can follow at davemcdowell.org as well as being on Facebook and Linkedin. He will continue to write his blog until he is no longer able.
